Scientific analyses suggest the world is on course for global warming of up to 7 degrees farenheit in the coming century. The failure of last December's UN climate summit in Copenhagen means cuts in carbon emissions pledged by the international community will not be enough to keep the anticipated warming within safe limits. Two analyses of the Copenhagen Accord, by Dr Sivan Kartha of the Stockholm Environment Institute, and by the Climate Action Tracker website, suggest that, even with the cuts promised under Copenhagen, the world will warm by 7 degrees by 2100. Such a rise would have disastrous effects on agricultural production, water availability, natural ecosystems and sea-level rise around the world, producing tens of millions of refugees. Last month, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration listed 10 separate indicators of a warming planet, adding: "The scientific evidence that our world is warming is unmistakable."

Recent revelations that a member of the Afghan government is on the CIA payroll shows how secret intelligence operations are complicating the overall mission. Top commander Gen. David Petraeus has made fighting corruption a fundamental part of his strategy to turn Afghanistan around. But while Petraeus warns his troops about paying potentially unreliable allies, the CIA is doing exactly that. Rick Nelson, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, says: "We have a strategy that is inherently inconsistent," adding the CIA is fighting the counterterrorism component of the war, which means getting information about those plotting to attack the U.S. or the Afghan government. Nelson said when you pay someone, you are renting their allegiance temporarily. It is not .. guaranteed loyalty for life. For years, the method for getting that information is to pay individuals for it, adding: "Unfortunately, that's also considered corruption."

Kurt Sonnenfeld, FEMA’s former official 9/11 videographer, is wanted by the US government on murder charges. Sonnenfeld, who lives in Buenos Aires with his Argentine family, says the 22 hours of footage he shot at Ground Zero proves the government’s version of 9/11 was a lie. Sonnenfeld told Press TV: "I have promised to give my footage to the big investigators that are credible and widely known..who will be able to detect anomalies that I or other people without scientific education might miss." Sonnenfeld says he fears for his life if he is sent back to the US to face trial. Sonnenfeld, who says his footage proves top US government officials were aware of the 9/11 attacks before they occurred, states he’s a victim of a US plot to silence him. Denver police claim they have evidence to show he killed his first wife in the US.
